Nz Gold Rush

In Hur 1 we have been learning about Gold Rush. Gold Rush is were tones of places started digging for Gold because it was a rare metal and it could be sold for thousands if you had a lot. It was used in Jewellery because it was a malleable metal what means it was able to be melted down and turned into different shapes. We read something about Gold Rush and then we had to answer some questions about it. 

Why is gold valuable? 
Gold is valuable because it's rare and it's used in nearly every Jewellery. 

 Write a sentence containing the words 'flecks,' 'quartz' and 'vein' to say where gold is found. 
Flecks of Gold can be found in quartz veins in some hard rocks. 
 Where would you find Alluvial Gold? 
At the bottom of rivers you can sift them out of the other gravel and small stones. 

 Copy a quote that any gold miner would tell you if you asked, Where is gold found?" "
Where it be, There it be." 

 List 6 regions where gold is found in NZ (Begin each one with a Capital/Uppercase letter).
