Coastal Wovles

 In Hur 2 we have been researching stuff about coastal wolves. We could do this in buddys or by are selfs. I did it with a friend. The video we first watched was about a photographer who takes pictures of many different thing likes animals and amazing sites. He talked about how the wolves fur doesn't have and value and they are really skinny because all they mainly eat sea food like fish and other things like that. They aren't like timber wolves. Hunters just kill them to get the feeling to pull the trigger. Heres a slide show we did on coastal wolves. This might explain more.

Mars Comunication

 In Hur 3 Mission to mars we have been learning about what type of comunication we could use to talk to the people on mars but everyone knows that there aren't people on mars yet. We were in groups. We chose a type of long range comunication back in the day. We chose semaphore. Semaphore is where you have two flags in your hands and you move them into positions to make letters and numbers. So if I kept my left hand on my lap and my right arm on a 90º then that letter would be the letter B. Theres movements for all the letters in the alpahbet. Theres even one for a space. Now I'll be talking about the Method and some other things about it.

Method:

Step one: Get two different types of square paper. (Two of each type of paper)

Step two: Cut the paper on a diagonal

Step three: Tape the long sides together so it makes another square. (Tape two different pecies together)

Step four: Tape or glue a small pole or stick to one of the side on the newly made square of paper. You now have a flag.

Results: We didn't end up doing it for reasons.

Evaluation: We could have actually do the activity.

Inclusiveness

In wanaga we have been doing a slide all about Judgement and Inclusiveness. After we answered some questions in a group. Now we have to answer some questions on our blog that were at the end of the slide.

How has this made you feel?

It made me feel really weird.

How have your thoughts changed during this lesson on inclusion?

They have changed more than anything else.

How will you respond now in situations if were faced with them again?

I'll probably just remember what I did in this class.

Nz Gold Rush

In Hur 1 we have been learning about Gold Rush. Gold Rush is were tones of places started digging for Gold because it was a rare metal and it could be sold for thousands if you had a lot. It was used in Jewellery because it was a malleable metal what means it was able to be melted down and turned into different shapes. We read something about Gold Rush and then we had to answer some questions about it. 

Why is gold valuable? 

Gold is valuable because it's rare and it's used in nearly every Jewellery. 

 Write a sentence containing the words 'flecks,' 'quartz' and 'vein' to say where gold is found. 

Flecks of Gold can be found in quartz veins in some hard rocks. 

 Where would you find Alluvial Gold? 

At the bottom of rivers you can sift them out of the other gravel and small stones. 

 Copy a quote that any gold miner would tell you if you asked, Where is gold found?" "

Where it be, There it be."

Parihaka

For the past weeks most of us having been working on Dlo's about Parihaka. Some of us did an animation like me and we could also do it in buddy's like me. Here's our animation. 

Mean, Median, Mode, Range

In Maths we are making a Dlo about how to figure out what the Mean, Median, Mode and Range of a set of numbers. I made a slide about all of them and then I gave an example. Then I made a video about it whats just me flicking through the slide but I'm not gonna put it in this blog post I'm just gonna put slide show on this blog post. Here's the slide show. 

Making water

I Hur 3 Science we tried making water by burning hydrogen. We had a one small test tube one bigger one to go upside down over the smaller one. We also had a plastic beaker to put the tubes in. First we put a piece of Magnesium in the small one and then we did a decent amount of Hydrochloride acid to melt the metal so the Hydrogen came out. Once you put the acid in the quickly put the bigger tube upside down over it. After a minute or two we took it off and kept it upside down so the Hydrogen didn't escape. We were in groups so each of us did this we moved the bigger tube still upside down and put the tip of the tub in the flame of the burner. Here's what we had to do after.
