Simple to Complex Sentences

In Hur3 for writing we have Practising  on our Sentences. This is also a practice for the assessment that is coming up. For the sentences we have been changing some words and adding more detail to them. The example was The cat sat on the mat. Then they added and adjective, when, where and how. Then we had to do the same. But our first sentence was, The dog ate. It was hard to figure out what to do for the adjective. Have you done this before? Here's my work...

Simple to Complex Sentences

The dog ate.
The dog ate wildly.
This afternoon the dog ate wildly.
This afternoon the dog ate wildly while watching cats.
This afternoon the dog ate wildly and stopped to bark at the cats.

Red: Adjective
Orange: When
Green: Where
Blue: How

  1. Hi Reuben

Nice job with your sentences! The only bit that was a bit confusing to me was when you got to the final step, the endings changed. You went from "...while watching cats" to "...stop to bark at the cats."

Remember, we want to keep the sentences the same, just adding things to them. Good effort overall!
